The killer in this story plans his murders carefully. I'd suggest reading the first Scarpetta mystery, Post-Mortem, and if you like it, go on from there. As always there's lots of forensic detail to fascinate the reader. He targets teenage couples traveling by car.

Love the technical aspects of both authors, but have learned much more from Kathy Reichs. I am determined to finish All That Remains, but I'm not enjoying it. Temperance is a more interesting character just by being portrayed as more human and a big plus, there is more humor in Reich's stories which is a major plus. I just started reading Kathy Reichs and one of the comments inside the front cover was comparing her to Patricia Cornwell. There is no comparison, Temperance Brennan has it all over Kay Scarpetta.
Great read, without a doubt the best of the best. This was my first Patricia Cornwell Book, but it will NOT be my last. I couldn't put this book down.

You need some free time to read because it will be hard to put this one down. Here is another Cornwell mystery that is terrifying and captivating. By Ruth Thompson "The Bluegrass Dream" and "Natchez Above The River Scarpetta is a "Quincy" in her morgue. The bodies of four young couples are found months after they had disappeared.
